WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS YEAR'S CONVENTION
SHORTER - the formal convention will run over just 1 ½ days, with an intensive programme of plenary and workshop sessions on day one and the following morning, followed by a series of optional study tours to regeneration and Olympic sites on the second afternoon.
LESS EXPENSIVE - thanks our main sponsors, The Carrier Group, and sponsorship from New Mind, New Vision, Destination Greenwich and Hilton Hotels, the lead price for TMI members will be UNDER £300, including one night's accommodation. This represents a reduction by around 40% of last year's rate.
BROAD AGENDA - as befits the annual convention of the UK's professional body for those in destination management, the programme will be a broad one, covering most of the issues critical to the profession in 2010 and beyond. Many of the Action Themes included at this year's Hot Topic back in May will be pursued in more depth, in addition to sessions on e-tourism, marketing developments, quality, the Olympics and regeneration.
